FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

Kanisha Louis Jean the President and Founder of MelanIN Medicine. She started the organization in 2017 based on one simple desire- having opportunities for professionals and scholars in health and healing roles to have a safe space to fellowship and support one another. Outside of MelanIN Medicine, she serves as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine and mentor to Dotson Scholars- a program at Simmons University supporting student nurses of color.
